Doctor, Doctor

Today was Koen's first doctor's appointment and 2 month check up. No surprises here - he is the picture of health and in the 95th percentile for weight! 14 pounds on the nose. He was charming and smiley with his doctor and didn't fuss a bit while being poked and prodded. Then it was time for his immunizations. His doctor is smart and doesn't give the needles herself (who wants kids running away in fear every time they see you?). So we headed off to see our friend Susan in the lab (we know Susan well by now - Bodhi has already charmed the heck out of all the nurses in the building). Koen was no different than his brother as the nurses fussed over him and oohed and aahed over his full head of hair and beautiful blue eyes. It was all rainbows and lollipops until the needle went in. Koen's face was purple and covered in tears in no time. Surprisingly enough, he was smiling up at me not two minutes later. He's been a bit on and off all day today, but otherwise is in great shape.

In other news, Koen slept a full two hours in his bassinet today and we'll be braving the co-sleeper tonight. Fingers crossed!!!!
