Koen's First Easter

Easter this year meant a very exciting 5 days off for Daddy so we all couldn't wait for the weekend to come around. On Good Friday we headed out to Grandma's house for hot cross buns and Easter chocolate making followed by Bodhi's solo Easter egg hunt (which he thoroughly enjoyed!). Koen watched intently as Bodhi ran around Grandma's garden finding colourful Easter eggs - no doubt plotting how he would get more than his brother in the future. It was a beautiful day so we were able to spend time outside for really the first time this spring. On Saturday morning we headed to Cambridge for the night so Koen could meet his Aunt Andrea, Uncle John and cousins Kurt and Ben and visit with Gramma and Poppa too. It was an uneventful car ride there, Koen slept almost the whole way and Bodhi watched movies in the back seat while Dan and I sat up front and planned Bodhi's upcoming birthday party. The weekend in Cambridge was fantastic with an early birthday party for Bodhi, another Easter egg hunt with Kurt and Ben and a birthday dinner for Gramma too!

Sunday night we headed back home to spend the next two days at home - just the four of us. A busy but wonderful weekend!
